Why Is It Important To Learn CPR?
-
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. According to the CDC, heart disease claims the lives of more than 600,000 people each year.
-
Brain death occurs 4-6 minutes after the heart stops beating. CPR helps keep blood and oxygen flowing, and dramatically increases the chances of survival in people who suffer a cardiac arrest. Studies have shown that if CPR is given within the first 2 minutes of cardiac arrest, the chances of survival double.
-
4 out of 5 cardiac arrests occur at home. Performing CPR promptly may help save the lives of one of your family members or friends.
Take a look at this very informative, animated video showing what happens inside the body during effective CPR.
We can teach you how to perform these high quality CPR techniques and how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator) in one of our top rated American Heart Association CPR classes!
